I Love Keepass
Windows usuario
Granted, there's not a lot of handholding, but once you get over that, the possibilities are endless. I use it with the Kee Chrome plugin (also works with Brave) for storing and autofilling username and password fields.
I now have unique, complex passwords for every site I use, if one was to get compromised, all of my other accounts will be safe.
I also use the KeyOTP plugin to store 2FA / Google authenticator seeds which now get autofilled without messing around with my phone.
For Linux nerds, you can store your SSH private key and passphrase and use it with Pageant for seamless, passwordless access to servers via putty :)
Keepass blows everything else out of the water.

Happy user since 2003

One of the reasons I've stuck with KeePass over the years was that it was the *only* password manager that (a) supported all the platforms I used (Windows, Linux, Android, IOS, Windows Phone, and Blackberry), and (b) it allowed for multiple database files.

That last bit cannot be underscored. I have a general password database that's on my phone, my tablet, my PC, etc. for all my non-critical passwords, like GMail, Outlook, and various websites. But I also have a dedicated database for my bank, my ProtonMail account, Amazon, etc. That database is only on my primary PC (which has rotating backups on encrypted media in locked safes).

What that means is that even if someone (1) stole my phone, and (2) cracked my Android phone security to...Mostrar más

Excellent tool for managing my kazillion passwords!
Android usuario
Keepass does everything I need without being top-heavy with in-my-face features I don't need.
My only complaint is that I can't configure the Android version of Keepass to use my primary database on my NAS - I need to manually copy updates from my NAS to each Android device.

Used it for years and yet to install a plugin
Windows usuario
I can't think when I first used it, but it was as easy as using Windows Explorer, which it kind of resembles in look.
I have never installed any of the plugins and just use it as is. I fire it up, create a new entry, or copy a password, and off I go. I have never had to maintain it, it prompts you to update, and I now have it synced to tablet and phone. Nothing needed scripts, tech knowledge, better manuals, or anything else like that.
If you know how to store a file on a drive using a file manager (and every computer user does), you know how to use Keepass.

I've been using KeePass for nine or ten years and found it easy to use and reliable. It's security is tops and that is the main point, so I can only recommend it.

Keepass, my love
Windows usuario
It was my first task in my previous job. Install and learn to use it always. I have "forced" my family, to rely on this free and great solution. The best out there. Yes, you can demand fancy functions like in 1password, but to be honest, after reading reviews on other - non-free - options, I never had an idea to switch - if you are using different passwords, you are going to use this app as well...

KeePass Deserves More Respect
Windows usuario
Sure, you can spend your money on some black box software, and assume that you are safe, or you can use software that is open source. I like open-source software, because I can review its structure and integrity. Then, after being satisfied of its safety, compile it, and install it. Granted that many do not have this option available but be assured that if a flaw is found it is pointed out!

I have been using KeePass for years and love it! Sure, it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that the other black pox software has, but with some time and understanding you can configure it to do whatever you want. The best thing, though, is the price! As a side note, I do donate to support.

Keypass2 is brilliant for websites, like UK banks, that need 2 random characeters from a "memorable word".
Windows usuario
Many UK banks and other financial institutions require you, as part of the login process, to input 2 or more random characters of a "memorable word". Keypass enables this in its "autotype" feature. I have yet to find another password manager that does
