Called Tech Support and when He found out I did not have a restore point he pretty much told me he couldn't help me. I cancelled the service within 30 days and still haven't received my refund. STAY AWAY.

Iolo offers what appears to be a good optimizer at a discount rate. However, you'll spend a good deal of time initially toning it down so that it doesn't consume all your background resources with advertising for additional services. Then about 2 months into the program, they start with monthly fees that you were not initially counting on. When you call them to complain, they pull the old "It's in your terms of use agreement" ruse. It was easy enough to cancel, but I really hate having to engage anyone like that after an initial, one-time purchase. I'll canceled and uninstalled everything after that experience.

You buy System Mechanic. You install it. You run it. Great. Done deal. Not so fast! 30 days later you will get a charge for $19.95 posted to the same credit card as the purchase, for "Live Tech Support". It seems that Iolo is one of these companies that tries to slip a bogus charge in on you hoping you won't catch it. Thieves. Beware.
