KeePass opiniones 2024: Por qué 6.4?

I can't think when I first used it, but it was as easy as using Windows Explorer, which it kind of resembles in look.
I have never installed any of the plugins and just use it as is. I fire it up, create a new entry, or copy a password, and off I go. I have never had to maintain it, it prompts you to update, and I now have it synced to tablet and phone. Nothing needed scripts, tech knowledge, better manuals, or anything else like that.
If you know how to store a file on a drive using a file manager (and every computer user does), you know how to use Keepass.

I have used KeePass for years. The only problem is transferring it to an iPhone which requires first downloading to DropBox then to the iPhone.

It was my first task in my previous job. Install and learn to use it always. I have "forced" my family, to rely on this free and great solution. The best out there. Yes, you can demand fancy functions like in 1password, but to be honest, after reading reviews on other - non-free - options, I never had an idea to switch - if you are using different passwords, you are going to use this app as well...

I haven't tried anything else. Why try when you know you have the best password software. I have looked at the so called "consumer" grade that friends us and turned them on to KeePass. After 5 minutes of a quick tutorial they will not go back to that other crap. hey even my wife uses it and she is as non techie as they come. So there you go!

Keepass does everything I need without being top-heavy with in-my-face features I don't need.
My only complaint is that I can't configure the Android version of Keepass to use my primary database on my NAS - I need to manually copy updates from my NAS to each Android device.

I don't understand the hate towards the UI, I'm tired of round, overly designed, unnecessarily animated software. This is beautiful as it is functional, with a vintage 90's feel. I love the look of it. It was also easy to use, I don't consider myself too techy but one youtube tutorial was enough to get a simple run-down of the functions, just like any new software I choose to use. I'm switching from Dashlane.

I’ve been using KeePass for years. I like the interface 90s feel and am tired of over stylized rounded button fluffy GUIs. The security is where it packs it’s punch. I copy my KDBX to OneDrive and then to my phone. Easy to do and I don’t have to second guess a cloud service having all my passwords and the risk of a service provider security breach.

I've been using KeePass for nine or ten years and found it easy to use and reliable. It's security is tops and that is the main point, so I can only recommend it.

It really is quite simple for the average user. The way they wrote the documentation obfuscated how to use it to the nth degree, it's just terrible so it is a real pain to learn what it's doing. If it is worth it to you to wade through the obtuse documentation you will find that it is really very simple, powerful and secure. More than you will ever use.

I don't believe the reviewer emphasized enough that this is probably the absolute most secure of all password managers due to it's open source nature. It was even given 3 stars which is just not justified instead of the 5 that it deserves for that aspect.

And it is free which says a lot.

I have been using Keepass for over 10 years and this open source project has always evolved nicely, including many contributors. This software is not hard to use really, as long as you are willing to have a look and take time to see all it offers you. You don't need to know all details since default options are already well set but you can go beyond. I really give a good note on Keepass and i didn't hesitate to donate to that project too.
